Hi all! thanks for accepting me! I am a new glider mommy. This is my first time around...but was NOT an impulse buy. I have been interested for years...just never had the time to dedicate to one. And, ive done tons of research on them, so i feel pretty confident. However...nothing is better then hands on experience! My baby is 3 months old. His name is Mr. Biggles. Right now, hes in a guinea pig cage, until the website restocks on the one i want! He has a wheel, 2 hanging pouches, baby toys hanging from the top, and a mini pillow i made him. Which, happens to be his favorite, he tosses it around the cage like crazy! Anyways. I do have a question. As his first week, i did not hold him outside of his pouch. I wanted him to get use to my scent, and comfortable with my hands. So, i carried him everywhere in his pouch, petting hiim through it. And, eventually worked my hand INTO the pouch. In the beginning...he crabbed at any little bump. Then we were able to move to as long as his face was away from my hand, i could pet him. I finally got him OUT of the pouch with a glove on, as he latched onto me and drew blood when i went in barehanded. Once out, he was perfect! Explored me, scent marked me quite a bit! However...i am thinking he is pouch aggressive...as anytime i stick my hand in, he bites...and he bites to draw blood. I am curious...is there any tricks to help me break him of this? I was thinking of making a new pouch out of one of my old tshirts...so he could sleep with my scent...
