Hi friends. Kind of a long post here! With the possibility of some severe weather this afternoon and evening, I wanted to let you know that if things do look threatening, we will open our basement for shelter. We know there will be lots of Dogwood visitors and vendors downtown without many good shelter options. Ill keep you posted here. And since were getting into the storm season, it seems like a good time to explain our storm shelter plan going forward. Our basement will be available for shelter in severe weather any time our 28 Springs staff are at the restaurant. This will mean 9am to 10pm Monday through Saturday (most nights more like midnight), which will mean if you work downtown, you can count on us to be available. For the hours where we do not have staff at the restaurant, weve decided that we cant ask our staff to risk their own safety to drive to the restaurant if storms are threatening in the middle of the night. We also dont want to leave anyone stranded outside the restaurant waiting for doors to be opened if the 28 Springs person designated to open the restaurant isnt able to get there.
