Hi guys, I was wondering about the practicality of moving the ISS to a 60,000km altitude orbit, (above the radiation belts) and did some rough calculations. Math was never my strong suit, so theres a good chance I screwed up somewhere here. I calculated the delta v for the Hohmann transfer orbit first burn as 2660m/s and the second burn at 1800m/s. Assuming a Merlin 1-D Vacuum engine I calculated the fuel requirements at about 514kg for the first burn and 366kg for the second. Do those numbers sound roughly accurate or did I screw up seriously along the way?
