Hi, my name is Jolene and I would like to share a story with you. Im posting on behalf of Dr. Gibson. Dr. Gibson talks all the time about how amazing the human brain is. This story is proof of that. I have a cousin. Her name is Jamie Hilton. Two years ago, she was in an accident where she was faced with death. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and had half of her skull removed and stored in her abdomen. The doctors removed it so that her her brain could swell. If the skull was left attached the brain would have incurred severe damage.
