Hi my name is Snickers, yes like the candy bar, because I am so sweet inside and out. I am actually a dog…lol…A mastiff/mix. I wanted to tell you my story. I used to have a family, but they left me in the concrete and dirt backyard when they moved. I waited and waited for them to come back for me, but they never did. Once I realized I was all alone I devised a plan to escape. I was going to dig to china! I dug and dug, but it seemed hopeless. What I did find in my digs, was an irrigation line which provide me with enough water to survive. It also gave me a cool hiding place from the blistering Arizona heat. Starving to death, I was resourceful and ate everything I could find in the backyard. Of course, those things i ate were not good for him and caused his rump hump...a hernia. Animal control found me and I sat at east shelter for a very long time. Finally someone decided to foster me right before I was due to die. After being taken to the vet, it was determined I needed rump surgery, so everyone pulled together and raised over $3000! Of which I am so grateful for! My rump feels so much better now!! Thank you! I live in foster currently with 4 other dogs of different sizes, I really don’t mind them. And I love my foster mom and she loves me very much too. But she has to work like 10-12 hour days and I am left alone during that time and I won’t use a doggy door. I really need somewhere to go where I get more attention and can get out during the day. So I am looking for a new foster or even better a forever home. I am potty trained, I do not like to be in crates at all, they stress me out really bad. I also do not like going out right now to loud places. They scare me. I am a gentle loving dog that likes to chill around the house. I would need leash training as well, because if you want to go for a walk, I will take you…Would you like to go for a walk? I ride well in cars, I love car rides. I love to snuggle and cuddle. I need a place with a yard and someone who is home a bit more often. I also have a clean bill of health! Would you be my next committed foster or forever home?
