Hi sir JV DP, thank you for accepting me in this group. I was initially keen on starting something like this group, but I am glad that, after doing a search, to see that FB already has an existing one. Thank you for starting this. I used to be a frequent and prolific blood and platelet donor since my 20s, but this now has to stop because I just had, and survived, a heart attack this February 21 -- which I guess came from congenital reasons because I am quite fit. I have blood thinners now and cant be a donor anymore. Even though I also took opportunities to donate blood during group blood drives, what I used to enjoy the most was donating directly to people who need it, both those I know and those strangers whose stories I just see on the Internet. It is rewarding to know that it was your blood which helped enable a familys breadwinner to live, a friend to become better, or a little child to have a chance at a longer life. I thank all the willing volunteers here for their willingness to be part of this group, for giving their blood freely, and being ready to help others. May this group continue to grow with more people like you.
