Hie guys and babes, how is it? Today I am not going to talk about my Iron Principle but perhaps as much always know I am going to addresss about David Moyes! I have been strartled by unbearable noises exploding out of Old Trafford mainly from those small historyless artificial inconsistent teams blind-minded that hiring & firing staff is the best. Not @ all! If you need to better understand Man United read my letter to David Moyes based on pressure mounting on him. 05 March 2014 Dear David Back in summer when I delivered a welcome note to you on the eve of your official first day as the new Man Utd manager I warned you that there will be some wretche times ahead and you need to develop a Rhinocero skin to deflect the heavy criticism that even your predecessor had o deal with @ times. I never for one minute thought it would even get as wretched as it did in Anthens. And if your skin has got thicker cover the last 8 monnths then I suspect you are going to need grow another thicker heavy layer so quickly so that the latest bombardment of flak doesnt penetrate and wound you so fatally. If you thought the ride was bumpy so far then I hate to be the bearer of bad news nut it is going to be like riding along a pot-holed road in Fred Flinstones car for the forseeable future. Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson CBE would have warned you that even during his glory yrs there were some bad performances both home and abroad, the Cjampions League match in Turin in Sept 1996when United were torn apart by Juventus. But then the Old Lad was the super power of Europe and Marcelo Lippis heavyweights were champions of a stromg Serie A and also European Cup holders, Olympiacos dont even come that category of foe. It was bad in Paris in 2005 when Lillie beat an inept United side but at least then you could see the seeds of another new Reds generration being honed. There is still hope to overturn a 2-0 deficit suffered in Greece. Remember how former captain Byan Robson overturned a 2-0 deficit inflicted on United by Diego Maradonas Barcelona in european cup quarter final during the reverse leg between Manchester United and Barcelona on March 21, 1984 @ Old Trafford. The headlines were damming. United were wounded and their immediate European future was left hanging by a thread. For 2014 read 1984 when the Reds found themselves 2-0 down after the first leg of a high profile continental clash after slumping to a tepid loss @ Camp Nou with Bryan Robson @ centre of critics for a slapdash attempt to score against Barcelona just as RVanP did in Greece. Robsons missed effort meant Ron Atkinsons side were rank outsiders in yhe 2nd leg tie in Manchester on March 21, 1984 against the worlds costliest footballer Diego Maradona, the great German Bernd Schuster & the mighty Spaniards! Two goals down & facing Euro KO, Robson and CO were fired up by te backlash afer their visit to the Catalan capital , storming a 3-0 win wit Robson scoring twice. Even with Fergie again in 1991(European Cup Winners Cup Final), Barcas two goal lead was cancelled out by a Robson diving header after 22mins and he then a loose ball home in the 50th min. Two mins after that aggregate leveller, Frank Stapleton hit the winner. Robon was carried shoulder high off at the final whistle after the jubliant Reds fans invaded the pitch. Olympiacos are not Barcelona and the players have a lot of making upto do. Right David, Tuesday night in Greece was as embarassing as it gets & its becoming increasingly hard to find some comfort that a new team is developing. You fronted up the Press Conference in the Karaikakis Stadium and took responsibility for an abysmal display that ranks as arguably the worst United CL history. Just a your predecessor always did you defended your team in public and that is commendable. But the fact none of them spoke to the English press in the mixed zone to explain their woeful display or even appeared in front of the clubs own MUTV channel spoke volumes. They should have explained to the fans who travelled all the way to Greece to witness such shambles just why they were so bad. It is only to be hoped they were shell-shocked and stunned from the tirade you presumably delivered in the dressing room. I certainly hoped you didnt spare them because they let you down so badly just as they appear to have done for the majority of this season. The worrying fact for you now is that the United support is beginning to turn. Social media was awash after Anthens with vitroil as disappointed and angry Reds vented their spleen. Now look below @ how you have so far disappointed us: 1.Sept 01-Suffer first defeat as Daniel Sturridge gives Liverpool victory @ Anfield. Wayne Rooney misses the match with a nasty head wound after being kicked in the head by Phil Jones in training. 2.Sept 22-Hammered 4-1 @ Man City. This time Robin van Persie is absent with a thhigh injury. 3.Sept 28-Suffer first in a series of shock defeats 2-1 @ home to WestBrom ending the Baggies 35yr wait for an Old Trafford triumph. 4.Oct 19-Concede last min Adam Lallana equaliser against Southampton @ Old Trafford. 5.Dec 04-Bryan Oviedo scores four mins from time as Everton end their 21yr wait for an away win over United. 6.Dec 07-Yohan Cabaye gets the only goal as NewCastle win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1972. 7.Van Persie suffer thigh injury taking a corner against Shakhtar Donetsk and is ruled out for seven weeks. 8.Jan 01-Rooney plays in the defeat by Tottenham but is then ruled out for four weeks with a groin injury. 9.Jan 05-Swansea win @ Old Trafford for the first time as Wilfried Bonys late goal sends United out of the FA Cup @ 3rd round stage for the 2nd time in 30yrs. 10.Jan 07-Defeat in Capital One Cup semi-final first leg @ Sunderland means a 3rd straight loss for the first time since May 2001. 11.Jan 19-Skipper Vidic is sent off as United crash to defeat at Chelsea. 12.Jan 22-United beat Sunderland 2-1 in Capital One Cup semi-final return leg thanx to Javier Hernandez last gasp effort in extra time, but come off worst in an awful penalty shootout with only Darren Fletcher scoring from their five. 13.Feb 01-Stoke end their long wait for a win against United. Charlie Adams double gives them their first since 1984. 14.Feb 09-United come from behind to lead bottom side Fulham at Old Trafford but Darren Bents stoppage time equaliser settles 2-2 draw to deny the hosts all the three points. You describes the result as being, as bad as it gets. 15.Feb 25-It proves gruesome in Greece for United in the CL last 16 as a poor performance sees the Red Devils beaten 2-0 by Olympiacos in Piraeus. Hey David, back in Sept after you were beaten at home by WestBrom I was told a tale of a bunch of United fans on the Stretford End who attempted to start up a ridiculously early You Are Getting Sacked In The Morning chant. The mini-uprising by the younger generation who have known nothing other than a procession of silverware was put down rapidly by older pre-Fergie United loyal Reds.It is fair to say that even some of your backers are now starting to defect to the other side. United might still be selling shirts in the Far East and according to your chief executive Ed Woodward still will no matter what happens, but more importantly how long will the matchgoing fans put up with the kind of dreadful quality seen in the Greek capital. In a bid to put a bitter summer of transfer humiliaton behind you, you will sit down with Woodward in the comng days to draw up a list of targets for this summer. Before you do so you will look back, if not in anger then certainly with regret, at a summer of missed opportunities that culminated in 24hrs of screwball transfer deadline day farce. Amid continued questions about where it all went wrong for the Premier League champions, down a succession of blind alleys and with a string of embarrassing buffs, it is understood they will dust themselves down and identify players they want to bring in during the next window. Beyond Woodward, the Glazer family is responsible for the fact that United went into the summer with a new manager and a new man at the helm in the boardroom. Amid recriminations over a summer of transfer dealing to forget for Woodward, the former investment banker who masterminded Uniteds expotential commercial growth before taking over from David Gill on July 01, there will be renewed questions over the Glazers succession policy. The balance that worked so well in the latter yrs of Sir Alexs reign despite the onerous financial demands of the Glazer business model, with Woodward effectively running the business side of the club in London and Gill overseeing football matters from Manchester, has been upset.Although Unteds transfer policy has came under scrutiny during the Glazer yrs, nevertheless the deals that were concluded tended to be wrapped up speedily and efficiently. The change in approach has not gone unnoticed as it has set the tone for the club for seaons to come! While not deserving of the level of hyperbolic dismay it has been greeted within some quarters, emblematic of the general level of hoopla that surrounds each successive transfer window as the TV money pouring into the top end of the game continues to escalate, the sense of humiliation will be bitterly felt and not only here among the clubs hierarchy. In more ways than one Manchester trade off their status as the worlds largest club. Madrid may bring in more revenue, partly thanx to the fact that they keep the lions share of La Ligas TV revenue, but United endlessly trumpet their 659million global fans and have used their status to mint a rampantly successful international commercial model. And the ever-lengthening list of sponsors attracted by the history and romance of the club as well as those numbers also demand success and star names. A shirt sale in the Hong Kong, Beijing, Australia or America is not going to appease those who are going to be asked soon to part with a chunk of money for next terms season tickets . They want to see some evidence now that their investment will be worth it. Of course the move to invite the fans to Old Trafford museum for free the whole month of march still show how you love the fans but now deliver the results to set at rest the grinding hearts. Its good for fans to visit the premier leagues largest archive attracting over 60 000 visitors every season . But its now time for the Glazers to back you just as Fergie always do in public. Its time for Joel Glazer to defend you publicly in front of the Press Conference for the first time since 2005 when they effectively took over at United, they cant no longer keep their mouths shut! What is bewildering is that all the pluses of late like the signing of Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney contract hasnt sparked a revival. 8 points from a posible 15 in the league since the Spaniard arrived isnt an impressive return for the so-called mid-season booster that was demanded and delivered in the January transfer window. And now that putrid effort in Anthens so soon after the major PR coup of getting Rooney on board despite the prospect, and now an almost certainityof no CL football next term, is a criminal waste of such confidence boosting headline stories. We all know that you inherited a team who over-archieved last season by winning the worlds best league by the length of Chester Road. I can understand you and a lot fans not openly wanting to admit to that obvious fact because it is condemning the achievements of Sir Alexs final few seasons in charge. But Roy Keane was probably right when he said you would have been privately shocked by the quality of players you are working with. I saw you huddled in your seat in Greece looking more miserable than ever-its not your fault David sit up straight you are working with some bad players. For that reason you desrve a proper summer transfer window to land the targets you have identified as those needed to strengthen your Old Trafford project. You need to be decisive in the window this time around. Its ok doing lengthy due diligence on potential targets but decisions have to be swift in a frenzied market. There is dead wood and those who have come to the end of their Old Trafford shelf life to be cleared out and the task ahead is even larger than any of us truly suspected, yourself including no doubt when that phone call came almost a year ago from Sir Alex to invite you to his Wimslow abode to inform you you were the Chosen One. By all acounts you are ggoing to get the time to implement all the plans you have drawn up for this colossal rebuilding job. But for goodness sake lets see something in the final weeks of this torrid season to show that in the future the dissenting voices starting to grow might look as stupid in the years to come as those who flew the Ta ra Fergie banner in 1989. Yours; RODNEY NYIKADZINO.
