High pressure off the mid-Atlantic coast will creep east as the trough over the Midwest will begin to lift northeast. Drier air will try to punch in aloft across the peninsula and will help lower rain chances (30 to 40 percent) on Saturday. The moisture flow across the panhandle will continue; therefore, rain chances will be almost as high as they were today. Highs will be in the lower 90s in the inland peninsula and upper 80s along the coasts. Highs will get to the upper 80s in the eastern panhandle while temps might struggle to reach 80 in the western panhandle (including Pensacola). The moderate to high risk of rip currents will remain for the east coast beaches on Saturday. Swim near a lifeguard, and swim parallel to shore if you are caught in a rip current. Enjoy your weekend!
