Hillsdale College Online: The Presidency And The Constitution Final week: Conclusion: Reviving the Constitutional Executive Power No reading assignment. Quiz score: 80% This was my final week. I recommend this free course to everyone. This is the only free course Hillsdale offers but I plan to purchase other credited courses now. Hillsdale has many courses that are credited. The course I took was not for credit. I took it to learn about our country, our Presidents and our Constitution. Because of this course and other forms of education, I was able to vote in November with knowledge not fed to me by the t.v. news. Hillsdale College decided to refuse all forms of federal aid in the 1980s, replacing all federal student aid with privately funded grants, loans, and scholarships. The college receives no direct or indirect federal funding. Hillsdale College was founded as Michigan Central College in Spring Arbor, Michigan, in 1844. Nine years later it moved to Hillsdale, Michigan and assumed its current name. As stated in its Articles of Association, the College undertakes its work “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings resulting from the prevalence of civil and religious liberty and intelligent piety in the land, and believing that the diffusion of sound learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.”
