History was made today at Ghanacoll when Nana Mrs. Juliana Owusu Ansah assumed office as the new Headmistress of Ghana National College. She takes over from Mr. E.K.T. Osam who retired from the service of the Ghana Education Service recently after a distinguished service to our school Nana Mrs. Juliana Owusu Ansah was lately the Headmistress of the University Practice Secondary school, Cape Coast. She attended Archbishop Porter Girls Secondary School, Takoradi for her Ordinary Level education and proceeded to Ghanacoll for her Advanced Level education. Her appointment gives impetus to the commission of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on the inauguration of the school that it shall be a co-educational institution as she joins the league of illustrious male predecessor heads of Ghanacoll as the first female in that position.
