Hm iteresting......what i just noticed during the reading of islamic holy book..... double-faced prophet = double-faced quran .... Here we go.. Suras which muhamad got in Makkah (where as we remember he was weak and hated.where he was almost killed as a religious heretic......) are full of compromise and reconciliation with the tribesmen..... 29:46 Do not argue with the people of the scripture except in the nicest possible manner—unless they transgress— and say, "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same; to Him we are submitters." 109:1 Say: "Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion."Let each person believe (or disbelieve) whatever he or she wishes. BUT in Medina, Muhammad got a strong team and it allowed him to discard unnecessary now conciliatory policy and start the attack. So here it is : 8:12 [Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip." 8:39 And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah . And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do. 9:5 And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 9:123 O you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. And know that Allah is with the righteous. 98:6 Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. So, here we can see the ambiguity in islam. Depending on the circumstances, Muslims quote or liberal, or aggressive suras....
