Holy Mace leaves for Kailash Kund BHADERWAH Aug 22 :- The ancient and historical Kailash Yatra begins today and it leave for Kailash Kund.. Yatra started from Vasuki Nag temple Gatha after the Bhajan, Kirtan, havan and Pooja of the mace through various villages like Gatha, Radio station colony, Kotli Link road, Seri Bazar and reaches near Vasuki Nag temple Vasuki Dehra where another mace from the same temple met the mace and both leaves for Kailash Kund. Yatris raise religious slogans like Jai Bole Jai Nage Vask Ki Jai, etc. Large number of pilgrims from Distt. Chamba of Himachal Pradesh, Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Jammu from Jammu region and outside states participate in this yatra which commences on 24th of August. Today the yatra take its first night stay at Hayan just five kilometers from the Bhaderwah and next day early in the morning it leaves for Kailash Kund and it reaches the Kund same day.Yatra starts from from Gatha through the many tracks like Ganthak, Ramtund, Sankh Paddar Rishi Dal, Gow Paida e ct. Total distance is of 14 miles and the whole distance is on foot. The Kund is a big lake of cold and crystal clear water of 1.5 mile of circumference and it is situated at the height of 14,500 feet from the sea level. Yatris will of the take bath in the cold water of the Kund and perform Pooja of Lord Shiva and Vasuki Nag and on 24th August. Yatra will back to Bhaderwah. Tight security arrangements has been made for the yatra in which police, CRPF and army Jawans has been deployed for the Yatra. Several religious organizations and people have made langers for Yatris on some places.
