Honesdale Borough Police arrested a man Wednesday on three felony counts of aggravated assault after he attacked a doctor in the Wayne Memorial Hospital Emergency Room May 31. Officers say 26-year-old Thomas Coffin was being unruly and stabbed the doctor in the shoulder with a ballpoint pen and tussled with security before being taken to another facility. The doctor required medical attention and Coffin has been remanded to the Wayne County Correctional. Along with the felony assault charges, he also faces two counts of terroristic threats. His is set to appear in Wayne County Central Court on Wednesday.
