How Do You Approach Your Heavenly Father? With Fear or Faith? Many of us were taught early on, that when we come to God, we must come with fear and trembling; much like we envisioned the leaders in Israel approaching Mt. Sinai that was rumbling with fire and earthquakes. That was never the way the Lord intended us to come to Him. He has always longed for an intimate relationship with His beloved children! One that was full of love and mercy, grace and peace! Look at the word in Hebrews 4:16 in the Amplified version: Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. Did you see it? We dont come with any type of fear. On the contrary, He explicitly tells us (in no uncertain terms) to come boldly, fearlessly, with confidence...in our times of greatest need! And what is His throne called? The throne of judgment, chastisement, the law? No! He calls His throne the throne of unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor...GRACE! That means all we have to do to qualify ourselves to come boldly is to know we do not deserve it! Its all based upon the blood of Jesus that has made us partakers of His Divine nature, children of the Most High, and the very Bride of Christ! So, beloved one, come to the throne right this very minute and ask the Loving Lord for all the help you need...right in the middle of your mess! :) You will find His help is more than enough and Hes more than willing to bless you beyond your wildest dreams!
