How can the states make money? How about, allow people to build - TopicsExpress

How can the states make money? How about, allow people to build on derelict sites, but, charge a 10% or even 20% tax on the sale price? This would do a few things. 1) It would release land for building on, reducing the need for filling in of guernseys bays. 2) It would reduce eyesores. 3) It would put money into the islands pot. 4) It would allow people (mostly the older generation that have these sites) to increase their income to help them reduce their worry and stress from the small pension they get. 5) It would put even more money in the economy as these people would have more cash to spend. Apparently some of these sites are already available for development. Could the states maybe publish where they are so potential builders and owners of land can be joined to make things happen?
