How can this author expect anyone to take her advice over the advice from the woman she is criticizing? Basically what they are both saying is how they lived and acted in their 20s worked for them because they are now happily married. But that wont work for everyone. Why even give advice on this? She suggests that I will be happier if I sleep around with men that I know are the wrong men for me. She suggests that I will be happier if I eat microwavable food because cooking a lovely meal only stops being pathetic when you are cooking for two. She suggests that I will be happier if I joke about having reproductive issues because this will apparently make me feel better about being single in my 20s. Who is this author writing to? I go back to my belief that if you wouldnt give the advice to your daughter, then you better not give it to me.
