How cool is it that both Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Dean Ambrose - WWE have recently quoted David Allen Coe songs? The song Dean quoted from was one of my favorites as well - a chill-inducing tale about a fateful ride with the ghost of Hank Williams. If youre big star-bound, just remember its a long, hard ride. Come to think of it, The Rock also quoted David Allen Coe during our Halftime Heat Empty Arena match in 1999, when he sang, Jack Daniels if you please, knock me to my knees, before spitting a mouthful of Tennessee whiskey into the face of Mrs Foleys baby boy.
