How heartbreaking to see the utter devastation at the Manchester Dogs Home. These dogs were already rescued and then their lives were cut short by one act of vandalism. I have watched and read all the condemnation of this horror story. We do, however, have to look into our own ssouls and remember this same horror is ongoing every week in Dog Pounds and seemingly we can live with this because it it not carried in newspapers and news stories. It happens behind closed doors and of course we are not responsible. But in fact we are. Every year Rescues all over Ireland plead with parents not to buy puppies or kittens as presents but this plea is ignored and by March this cuteeeeee puppy or kitten are surplus to requirements and are dumped like unwanted toys scared and left for someone else to pick up the pieces of their little lives. All the dogs in Manchester were once someones pet so whoever abandoned them are as guilty as whoever started the fire. If you have been touched by this story why not contribute to Rescues who are forever in dire straits and are surviving on a shoe string. So please please HELP your local Rescue and please stop buying animals.
