How is this for stupid: ALF spokesman Robin Webb pooh-poohed Everetts claim and defended the groups actions. I know many of the mink are going to die, but at least they will have had a taste of freedom, he said. So this mental lightweights group frees 100s of minks which then go on to kill other animals while knowing many of them are going to die. Can anyone please explain to me, in a way that makes sense, how this is a good thing? Now I dont agree with animal cruelty. But releasing 100s of dangerous predators into an ecosystem where they will die or cause harm seems a touch counterproductive. Mr. Webbs comments were in response to an expert expressing concern over the damage the minks would wreak on the local environment in the UK. In doing a quick search it seems that Mr Webb is very qualified to speak. After all it was while he was employed electronics company located next to a slaughterhouse he became an activist. So based on that he must know more about the environment than Mike Everett of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds... How about we take these morons, dip them in mink pheromones and release the minks in a warehouse with them. If nothing else it would make an awesome episode of Jackass ... after all they are at about the same IQ level...
