How much do you desire your goals? Julius Caesar sat in his chair - TopicsExpress

How much do you desire your goals? Julius Caesar sat in his chair weeping bitterly after reading the exploits and biography of Alexander the Great. He was then the Governor of the Gaelic territory of Spain (no small feat.). At the same age Alexander had accomplished so much more than he had at that point. He compared himself to greatness and pushed himself beyond what any man thought possible. He yearned so deeply to be great and would never accept anything less than his goal. He was offered various positions and never accepted them if he didnt see them as a stepping stone to his ultimate goal. Anything less was a compromise. Ultimately his name was written next to his hero Alexanders in the book of history. I have never come across a person in history I couldnt learn something positive from. Achieve your goals. Live your dreams. But perhaps dont try to become king in a republic, because you will most likely be stabbed in the back. Et tu, Brute?
