How would you like a cool $100 million aud? Or better yet, How - TopicsExpress

How would you like a cool $100 million aud? Or better yet, How would you like $100 million AUD of tax payers money spent on local infrastructure, public schools, hospitals, roads, public services, public housing, local community groups and more? Well that is what the Royalties for Regions scheme was supposedly all about. Thats why this ABC article released on Friday, which you should definitely read, will no doubt *make you very happy* you, when you read and learn about how in excess of $100 million of tax payers money has been given to big mining industry heavy weights for drilling incentives. The money comes from state revenue, and 41 companies are currently successfully applicants for funding in 2015, including Iluka, KCGM and Anglo American. You probably might not be familiar with some company names, and think they are smaller regional outfits. KCGM stands for Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mine, Iluka is a company with an estimated market cap of over $2 Billion AUD (Thats billion with a B), and Anglo American has an estimated market value of over 15 Billion AUD according to Yahoo Stock. Funnily enough, 15 billion actually has more numbers than my phone number. They certainly sound like worthy recipients of my portion of tax i paid this year, and i for one am very grateful of this initiative, and would like to take this time to thank the politicians representing these companies responsible for ensuring this legislation continues into the new year. We are sure that our audience will feel the same way, and encourage you to put your positive and supporting comments of this in the box below.. abc.net.au/news/2014-12-19/questions-over-exploration-funding/5980680?section=wa
