Hypostatic Union was necessary for the work of redemption. By definition Hypostatic Union is taking of a human nature by the preexistent, eternal Person of the Son of God establishing within the oneness of the divine Person a unity of divine and human natures without division or separation of natures, as well as without change or confusion of natures. Our redeemer Jesus Christ, had to be human in order to die as mans substitute; and had to be divine to die for all human beings, providing a death with infinite value. The human nature that was taken was sanctified in its very inception and therefore kept from the pollution of sin (Hebrew 9:14). As it is written in 1 Timothy 2.5-6, there is one God and one mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ! Hallelujah, my redeemer lives and thanks to Him I live!
