I LOVE to hear people jokingly say, You spoil your kids. Listen, my kids earn every single thing they get. You know how... With focusing and excelling in their grades, staying committed to an extra curricular activity, (like band or art) being good kids, being RESPECTFUL, doing their daily chores and focusing on enjoying being a kid. My husband and I sacrifice for our kids.... Instead of going on expensive vacations every year or going out to expensive restaurants all the time, we CHOOSE to send our children to the best college, send them to expensive learning, music or art camps, providing the things they need to be safe and/or successful in life. See, that is exactly what parents are supposed to do. People have different levels of financial ability. Ill just say this... As long as you are putting your kids needs FIRST, above all else, you have my utmost respect! Whether you can afford to have a lavish lifestyle with it or not! But if you are spending money left and right doing all the fun things for yourself and then say you cant afford college or a good/safe car for your teen or dentist visits or extra curricular activities that would enhance their lives... Well then, I have to say I think you spoil yourselves!! Id much rather spoil my kids and take the pressure off of them and give them a good life, rather than spoiling myself. Im not perfect by a long shot, but there is nothing I wouldnt do for my children. :))
