I Rest IN Him and He works IN me! If I am working (striving, worrying, fearing, and stressing) than He will rest. That is of course, until I am totally and completely exhausted. This is the secret; We are His branch, temple, and vessel, and that’s exactly how Jesus describes us, and all of these things independent of God...CAN DO NOTHING! The Temple is the place where God dwells, and you are that Temple! The branch is ALWAYS resting IN the Vine, as the fruit producing sap is channeled through it. You are that branch! And the vessel has no say on what it contains, it simply rests wherever it’s placed, knowing the Father will fill it with Himself. You are that vessel. We were specifically designed by God, just as the temple, branch, and vessel were designed for their purposes! Our purpose is to Rest IN His unconditional love, while He takes up our cause, whatever it might be.
