I agree that bringing Ebola to the US is an extreme risk. But it occurred to me that there is an intrinsically darker side to this whole event: the US has no practical experience with a disease this lethal in recent times and specifically no experience handling or treating Ebola. Which is to say, the darker side of this is that the US has no experience dealing with this and looking at how disease spreads, Ebola ending up somewhere in the US at some point is inevitable. With no experience on the part of first responders and medical staffs, we would most certainly be utterly defenseless and thus doomed. Yes, its a huge risk. And by huge I mean HUGE.
