I agree wholeheartedly that being made to feel - TopicsExpress

I agree wholeheartedly that being made to feel bad/undervalued/unimportant/past your usefulness simply because you have grey hair or wrinkles is utterly pathetic, using rat poison to make your face an expressionless mask so that you can appear to be younger than you are, dying your hair to cover the grey, just so that society will approve of you... Grow old disgracefully, be proud of the grey, wear the wrinkles with pride, we have earned every single one of them, they are the map of our life story. Age used to mean veneration, not trying to keep up with the generations below you, and yes I know I currently have pink hair, (but thats cos I was a fairy for the evening :) But I love me, I could wish I was thinner but hey its me and what you see is what you get, I wont ever be 25 again so why try and look it? I might look a bit whacky every now and then but I think most of you are kind of used to that by now, and yes 50 for some reason scares me but hell, I will get over it and celebrate the hell out of it, its time to enjoy my grandchildren and encourage them to mad individuals like their parents and their grandparents. Stuff being that young again age does have a few benefits lol
