I agree with Sylvia Blyden on this. . I have been a passive observer over the deep heated exchange between Dee Koroma whose sister is Finda Koroma both siblings of the first lady of Sierra Leone and that of the SEA, Sylvia Blyden. It has been a long one with many important facts coming out including strong categorical statements that indicts Finda Koroma boarding issues of contractual integrity. Before delving into this matter I wish to register my surprise at Sierra Leoneaned that are consumed by the not so important issues. I see many people joining to lash at Sylvia Blyden premised upon spite and revenge, and perhaps Sylvia Blyden may have hurt them (including my very self) in one way or the other. Many seem to be clouded by their ugly encounter with Sylvia that they loss sight of the reality and sense of development . They ignored important facts that brings into play integrity questions boarding contracts and the conundrum of connectocracy and incompetence that constitute our governance and body politik. Good governance bestowed a higher onus on government to be as transparent in the awarding of contracts more so contracts that binds future generations. At the same time individuals must not use their connection with the president and the government of the state to lobby on behalf of foreign companies to awarding of drilling contracts, drilling which the masses of the Sierra Leonean people know nothing about. I am an ardent critique of Sylvia Blyden.. I have battled with her and defeated her online and making her cry like baby in the walls of Fort Thornton, Statehouse. She has deviated from a civil path and that is where I think she must be corrected because a democratic and pluralistic society like Sierra Leone does not agrees with her approach. Those that live by tax payers money are servants that have limited rights over their tax masters, the general citizenry. Likewise, in a democratic society issues should be handled without malice. In this case the issue should not be about Sylvia Blyden, it should be about what Sylvia Blyden say.She bring in important integrity and morality questions maily: Is it not conflict of interest to award contract to family people??? Is it not immoral to lobby for oil drilling plots, drilling which the Sierra Leonean people know nothing about??? What is the status of the solar electrification project under Kumba Koroma? Did she perform under that multi-million dollar solar electrification contract??? Why now all the shouting??? How many of us know about the oil plots in Sierra Leone? These are important questions that should invite the Anti Corruption Commission, but as an impotent and toothless bull dog I dont expect the least. They only arrest and prosecute the small fishes, not the big ones. Some have entered the conversation and joined forces to ridicule Sylvia but Sylvia remained tall in the exchange because she has very important facts which is of national importance to me. The issue that is important to me is integrity. And this is what I am very interested in learning, I refusing spending time on the irrelevant issue but agree with Sylvia Blyden on on principle ground. To whom much is given much is expected.
