I always believe that giving too much pressure is detrimental to our health and causes emotional plus intellectual burn out. Output that came from pressure is not excellent. It may be good but never a long term success. If we run a business and we need to improve our performance, instead of putting pressure of everything to everyone, why not we first emphasize where each one is excellent at. Afterall we are being measured collectively. From there lets do subordinate mentoring. It is awkward that some companies are relying too much in their appointed managers to do it, whereas reality speaking, they are not jack of all trades. Sometimes, a manager is even asked to mentor a staff who almost everyone know he/she had been struggling or worse is not able to improve on until now. As the saying goes, you cannot give what you dont have at the first place. A good teacher might have a poor student but not the other way around. Just a thought.
