The most brilliant comedic thing I ever saw was Robin Williams on the Dick Cavett show - they both had a history of improv, and they took suggestions from the audience - they wound up with Three Mile Island, Albert Einstein and iambic pentameter. They proceeded to do a totally improvised sketch - in iambic pentameter! - of Einstein coming back to Three Mile Island - Meshugganahs! Vat have you done mit my eqvations??? But heres the deal - DICK CAVETT DIDNT OFF HIMSELF. He got EST - barbaric, I agree, but dude - HES STILL FREAKING HERE. Someone characterized RW as a tortured soul. Great. So now there are MORE tortured souls - his wife, his kids... Great move, Robin! Really funny!
