I am VERY proud to see that awareness of the MANY benefits of locally produced food is growing. YOUR DEMAND is as well. Not only here.... but across the country. With every product you buy locally, INDUSTRIAL AG takes a hit. If you are determined and vow to buy local what you can..... INDUSTRIAL AG loses, for ever, a percentage of their market share. So, what does INDUSTRIAL AG do? In keeping with their, deception, back room deals and methods..... they offer up bills like HB 1918 (giving oversight to Foreign Purchases of Missouri Farm Land to BANKERS), they trot out a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to insure FARMING PRACTICES (and they dont mean your local family farmer or rancher) are PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION against any redress ( lawsuits, etc.) FROM YOU. This is the way BIG AG keeps its lock on our food, our economies, our consumers and our communities. This is NOT a joke. Call your MO. REP and ask them kindly to vote NO on HB 1918 and be prepared to vote NO on the RIGHT TO FARM CONSTITUTION AMENDMENT in Nov. Local food production is integral to our return to the sustainable community. Your apathy will make the sustainable community, secure in its food and economy, impossible.
