I am against #Ebola patients being brought back to the US for treatment. I dont believe we can consistently contain the disease. So far, I have a list of 3 reasons why: 1. Human error 2. Unexpected events (e.g. if and when the Ebola virus becomes airborne, even though that is predictable, no one will be prepared) 3. Deliberate, malicious actions by crazy people. I also dont think #quarantine efforts and screening tools are reliable. I have 3 reasons for that: 1. Denial by exposed patients that Ebola is the reason for their symptoms 2. Lying by exposed patients so they can return to their home country for medical care if and when they become ill 3. Predictable lack of cooperation by Americans with major city/state/country wide quarantine orders if and when they are required.
