I am an onion; I smell funny, and if you hurt me, I will make you cry. Thats a promise. There is almost no way to uncover my inner workings without tears. So, put away that too-sharp knife, and raise your calloused hands up to your face. Inhale slowly, and memorize that smell of soap and almost nothing. Next, begin to peel away my flaky purple skin, until you reach my first thick layer. This is the layer people judge me by in the produce section of a supermarket. Im lightly bruised, maybe, but worth every penny. And each new layer is worth every tear.
