I am appalled at some of my friends who like Larry Yates for state representative! come on man! paul T. , fred, ... this guy is so extreme the socialist democrats dont want him! he is a big government socialist with a twist (well maybe not so much compared to some in power) he wants to re-engineer society. In his own words to me, hes from the south... but saw the light. This along with his other statements I took as meaning southerners are bad, white males are bad, we should pass more laws and taxes for entitlements, states rights are bad (that was decided 150 years ago), so lets not limit the federal government, government can fix society. He wants to erase any positive associated with our, Virginias southern heritage (Paul Hampton Thomson take note I know what your ancestry means to you). Has tried to rename the streets that have associations with those who fought for southern independence. Im sure the memorials at court houses across the state would be next to attack. He is part of the thought police movement, those hypocrites who preach tolerance just as long as you agree with them...and if you dont well pass a law to make you because youre obviously a racist. Just read his letters to the editor to hear how awful traditional america is. armed white males holding our country hostage, so much for the 2nd amendment. He is an Saul Alinsky socialist having spoken out in defense of the aforementioned. He idea of social Justice is not equal across the board. There is no, to each his own, with him. He will propose laws to make you think, so called, right. Men wont be judged on their merit as MLK dreamed but entitled depending on their race. In my opinion, Based on his own words, he is a very misguided and dangerous man to individual freedom.
