This bill stipulates that if DHS hasn’t achieved operational control of the US-Mexico border territory in one year, 1,500 Customs & Border Patrol agents would be hired to get the job done. The bill also gives our border state governors the resources they need to combat illegal immigration in their states by calling for the deployment of 10,000 National Guard troops to the border upon their request.
