I am disturbed to find that a similar situation took place last week at another hospital operating under the Dignity Health Care banner. Is this just how things are in the Las Vegas area? Is this something that people here have learned to accept? Are the standards so low that criminal behavior is not given a second thought? Maybe its because we have news media in this town that are consumed with tackling such crucial topics as why some performers concert tickets are overpriced or once again reminding people not to give their credit card numbers out to strangers that call them on the phone. Maybe it is political activists who dont bother to check and see if the hugs and kisses are followed by work that is actually in the best interest the people. Do your elected officials actually return phone calls or push the job off on to the next person in line. Are we taking our political advice from a group of people who are awestruck and nervously giggle at the opportunity to have their picture taken with someone that works for ALL of the people and is no more special than anyone they represent. If you want to know who to vote for, call one of your elected officials and ask for their help with an issue. Its a much more effective way of making an informed decision when determining if someone is doing their job or not. Maybe its politicians who forget that EVERY citizen they represent is their boss. For those who have forgotten, you serve the multimillionaire who has the fundraising event, the working single mother who served you your cup of coffee at the drive-thru and the homeless man on the corner with whom you tried to avoid eye contact. You work for ALL of us. When you run for office, our concerns become your concerns and our legitimate complaints become the things you work to resolve. If you didnt realize that these slight annoyances were part of the job when you paraded around town with a big smile on your face asking for our votes, I apologize, but hopefully this has now been clarified and you now can decided if you are in a job that suits your interests. May I suggest to all three groups....do your jobs.... Maybe you will find that you have actually made a positive difference......I am sure that is important to you, right? ***this is not directed at anyone in particular. There are a multitude of people who have been helping and supporting what I have been doing both publicly and behind the scenes. When all is said and done I hope that I will have the privilege of thanking you all. If anyone reading this takes offense..........????
