I am ever so grateful for the warm and wonderful home I live in - TopicsExpress

I am ever so grateful for the warm and wonderful home I live in this morning. As the cold swirls about outside my windows I am snug and comfortable when others are not. Generally I complain about the cold because we are not close friends but Dr. Alan Fitzner put a quote up today that gave me second thoughts........ It goes The miracle of gratitude is that it shifts your perception to such an extent that it changes the world you see by Dr. Robert Holden. I thought about that as I peered out my office window and realized how much we need the winter months in our part of the country for numerous reasons. The grain produced in Kansas which helps feed the world needs the cold of winter. Our trees need the rest to again be luscious and productive come spring and far too many other things to even begin to mention. I too need the rest that winter brings to slow down and regroup from the business of summer. The sky outside my window is bright and beautiful and I will have an extra spring in my step due to the briskness I will encounter as I step outside. Yes, gratitude certainly does change ones perspective of what is about them . May your day be filled with blessings. They are there, but you must take the time to look at what is around you. You hold the key to your own happiness and it begins with being grateful for what you have and where you are at this moment in time. This moment is all you have...tomorrow may never come. So take a few seconds to be grateful for who you are and that you continue to walk the face of this beautiful planet we call earth. Have a great day!
