I am going to get scoffed, I just know it but.......... do you know what made birthdays in our home so magical? One day a year we got to a) eat off the red plate with the red fork and spoon, b) take a shower as opposed to a bath, and c) take our lunch to school. The only crafts I remember doing with our mom were Holly Wreaths at Christmas (yummm) and we would make our own wrapping paper out of butcher paper and potato stencils and paint (all of that was genius by the way Penny; so frugal, you are my hero!). Friday nights were Dairy Queen or pizza nights, which was huge to us! Now that is not to say there werent moms around when I was coming up that were crafty; and there is nothing wrong with those moms or the crafty ones now! You gals are GREAT!
