I am grateful for emails like this one.... Jeff, Just want to say thanks for all youve done on that McDougall website. You have turned my life around. Ive lost 25 pounds since getting serious about my move from vegan to the McDougall WOE. Ive learned an enormous amount from your work. I cant begin to tell you how much I appreciate your use of the literature to back up your assertions (fits my own determination to require that my students learn scientific method and rely on it at every turn). The great thing about that site is that the info just continues to impact people, months or even years after youve written it. Im routinely benefiting from things you wrote 4-6 years ago. I started at 201 lbs. Today Im at 174.5 lbs. My total chol went to 163 after only 3 wks of kicking the olive oil habit, LDL went to 80. Im eager to get my testing done again, now that Im months into it. As someone whose dad died of a heart attack at 47, has 2 brothers with pace makers and 1 who had quadruple bypass surgery, I cant thank you enough. Thanks again.
