I am not trashing Parra (one of my favorite Dbacks since 2009) I am just stating stats and facts as to why he was moved (A lot of people hate logic and stats so I should expect a fire storm from some of you) Parra was hitting .212 against lefties this season, he was hitting .159 with RISP and his DWAR (where his value is) was negative. I loved Parras emotion and what he gave every game but baseball is a business and Parra wasnt a fit on the filed any more with Pollock and Peraltas break out seasons. Parra was gonna make 6-7 Mil next season in arb too Parra is ultimately a platoon player now, we got a lefty pitching prospect in Banda and a 2012 1st round pick in Haniger For a player who is a platoon player with declining numbers Id say we got a justifiable return I am sad to see him go but I am a fan of the name on the front of the jersey, not the back of the jersey. It is sad to see fan favorites go like CY, Drew, Roberts and now Parra but it is part of the game. Wish Parra the best of luck in Milwaukee and I will root for him to do well. If he was slumping for lets say 1 month or even 6 weeks moving him would not be smart but this hasnt been a small slump, this has been an overall decline in his game for well over a year now (.247 hitter since July last year). Thanks for the great memories Parra and best of luck in Milwaukee.
