Having no lawyer nor connections, for sure they were driven out of their multi million properties for a song and small money from the high and mighty predatory lenders. It is just a microcosm of the present state of the Philippines justice system where the rich and powerful rule and the rule of law is just playground for their (predatory lenders) manipulation and display of power) . This is the stage where the start of the downfalls of failed states/countries like Haiti, Somalia, sudan and Mali started. Unfortunately we, in the Philippines are going that way too unless all of us act and restore the rule of law asap.
