I am outraged after watching this talk. This women has Multiple Sclerosis and provides false hope to the 2.3 million people living with MS. She claims that her paleo diet ALONE explains why she is no longer confined to a wheelchair or dependent upon a Cain. Did I mention she now miraculously is able to ride her bike, an activity she was not able to do for almost ten years? I get it that a healthy diet is missing from most of our diets and that many of the diseases in our world today can be prevented through diet but to tell the audience you have a choice and if nutrition can do this for me (mentions again she has MS) imagine what it can do for uas photos of her once confined to a wheelchair take center stage is absolutely ridiculous. I know people who lived active, healthy, and yes, consumed paleo-like diets years before ever being diagnosed and although they continue their rich nutrient diet...the inevitable happens...PROGRESSION. According to this speaker the findings of her study are unbelievable. This was in 2011... No one could have predicted my dads fate. One day he was young, physically active, and healthy and the next day he was diagnosed with MS. If a simple diet could give my dad back his ability run, ride a bike, or simply experience the sense of touch in his hands trust me he would make that choice. I have watched my dad fight like hell for 26 years, from taking part in the craziest studies (one included getting stung by multiple bees on a regular basis...our family became legit bee keepers) to swimming in the pool during thunderstorms after hearing of a women whos MS symptoms vanished after being struck by lightening. To STAND there and say you have a choice as a statement intended to be directed to all listening as you use your miraculous testimony as some kind of proof that anyone living with MS can also become not just mobile but regain enough balance to ride a bike from diet alone is insanity. It breaks my heart because I imagine the hundreds of others this gives false hope to. I picture the determined individuals that think this will give them back their mobility only to find themselves disappointed and possibly feeling as if they have failed themselves because they were unable to regain their mobility...as if it has anything to do with how well they adhere to some diet. FYI: MS is not a choice. There is no cure. youtube/watch?v=KLjgBLwH3Wc
