I am pleased to tell you all that I am home from the hospital! My bloods are not great because Im becoming malnourished again and so we will just do them every 3 weeks to keep a track on everything. I am also loosing weight again rather rapidly! I didnt want to stay in hospital because I prefer being at home in my own bed surrounded by the people who make me so happy! The Doctor explained that he wanted to keep me in a few more days because of the spiking temperature I have. This will be a flare of the ecoli infection I have in the wall of my bladder and the only thing that will ease the infection is gentamicin given intravenously. Because it is christmas contacting my consultant in London would be impossible and so there would be nothing my local hospital could do, than we can do at home, until making contact with London. On Monday I will see my own GP and she will speak to my Gastro team to see weather another NG tube should be arranged for the time being. I have tried so hard to increase oral Intake of nutrition but it really isnt something my body seems to want to accept. The next plan might be to trial feeding into the jejenun to bypass the whole GI tract and see if we can get nutrients in that way. I shall keep you all posted any how :) The next few days I plan on doing nothing exciting and allowing my body time to recover from a rather hectic few weeks! Keep caring, keep sharing đź’–
