I am pretty sure I have pissed some people off over the last 24 hours and that is ok I am choosing today not to give up my truth for the comfort of others that is not to say I am intentionally harming anyone, because I am not but, I am not disregarding what is important to me and why, to create happiness in someone else while disregarding my own desires and truth I have experienced in my lifetime many people who like to own the accomplishments of others In my work both in the office and out, I am careful not to take credit for others success no matter how intertwined I was in their journey This journey was mine It takes a village and many were and are at my side I am eternally grateful for this and each person who has been present But not one person, agency, organization has done the work for me I HAVE And I am proud of myself If you are not happy with me today and you somehow feel slighted maybe you should check the motives behind your connection to me and ask yourself what it was about in the first place If it was about growth and our paths you will understand If it was about you and your own gain, I suspect you will still be mad But the good news I understand where you are coming from and I will patiently sit in my position and be present in your life anyway But I will not stop living mine
