I am returning back to the Russians. I have had a long standing interest in Russian art, from the nineteen century writers and on. The focal point has been with the artists of the October Revolution, the artists with hope and huge optimism. Some allowed their art be inspired by the revolution while others gave their art to the revolution - only to end with a bullet in the head. The few who survived turned away from the revolution, embracing its polar opposite and others remained true to the ideas of the revolution (even while the political bosses abandoned the ideals from the get-go). Arseny Avraamov joins with Meyerhold, Stephanova, Vertov, Popova, Mayakovski and Eiseinstein my league to be admired.
