I am searching for someone in my Region who may be seeing something similar to what I have going on with my dogs. Tag is an 8 mo GR who presented with one day of nausea and temp 103.4. Ran her in and blood tests were pretty innocuous. On a repeat exam later that week her lungs showed some beginning interstitial involvement of the bronchioles. She has been on Amoxi, TMP, and Augmentin one after the other with no improvement. After 3 weeks we were referred to the local vet university at OSU in Oregon. Her lungs had advanced, and her biggest symptom is lethargy, labile low grade temps, and rarely a cough on exertion. My 3 year old WSS spaniel presented yesterday with the exact S&S, including an abnormal chest x ray. His shows diffuse, but mild peribronchiolar pattern. The specific characteristics are lethargy that worsens over the weeks, and a labile temp, that is often actually normal. You really would look at them and not see any issues (except Tag who is 4 weeks in and is not an active pup) My vet is awesome, the vet school is running all sorts of tests, so I am already chasing needles in a haystack. I am interested in anyone who has seen something similar in the PNW region and surrounding areas. If you have a “hot” lead message me, otherwise I can check posts here. As you can imagine I am frantic. Thanks for any information.
