I am sharing the obituary about Mary Lee Dayton and encourage everyone to take a moment to learn about this amazing woman. Mary Lee was a champion for so many causes, including Teenwise Minnesota, the organization I run. Mary Lee was a long serving member of our advisory board, a supporter of Teenwise from virtually the beginning and gave the lead gift for our Giving Circle. In honor of her years of support and dedication to young people, she was the first recipient of the annual "Stand Up for Teenwise Award" and just last year, the award was re-named in her honor, "The Mary Lee Dayton, Stand Up for Teenwise Award." To top it all off, Mary Lee was one of the kindest, most generous and wonderful people we’ve had the pleasure of working with. On a personal note, she and I bonded over a love of all things related to birds. She will be truly missed.
