I am so upset about this Eric Garner case. I go to sleep and wake up thinking about it. I think about it throughout my day and immediately feel immense remorse for his family. I have never met this guy, I know zero about him other than what I have read/seen in the news and, for better or worse, I am an unpolitical, non-confrontational person who rarely tries to get in the way of things I do not have control over. Something, however, NEEDS to be done about this. Regardless of whatever alleged details we dont know, Eric Garner was murdered by the hands of this piece of shit, Daniel Pantaleo- that is a fact and the only real black and white issue here for me. I understand we are marching and playing dead in the streets. While I am sure that is socially impactful, what (other than giving historians good pictures to retell the story in 10, 25, 40 years from now) can actually come of this protesting? We can count, on one hand, protest bringing on change and I am truly TRULY hopeful this will be another one. Rest in Peace Eric Garner.
