I am soooo sick of thieves, liars, cheats, and whatnot trying to steal from and cheat honest people!! My nerves are shot, and I dont see ANY sleep in my future tonight. I decided to hurry and delete some emails in my inbox while I was laying down after setting my alarm. I see 3 emails from Paypal in a foreign language. Then, I see an email stating that my email address had been changed to some off the wall email... You added a new email address to your PayPal account Dear Danielle Doxey, This is just a quick confirmation that you added a new email address (du9057742235183@163) to your PayPal account. I try to log into my paypal from my home screen to see if its all bologna, someone maybe trying to get me to give them my email and password. Nope, I cant get into Paypal! I have NO access to my account. NONE! I find the number for Paypal and call them. Im crying. Seriously. Somethings not right. Yep, someone was already able to get into my account and change my personal info, etc. I freak, because my Paypal is linked to all of my banking and credit accounts. Luckily, Paypal immediately realized something was off about the change, etc when the hacker first got into it, and they totally disabled the account. There is no way anybody can ever use that account again. None of my accounts were compromised, as all they can see is the last few digits, and those accounts were immediately blocked from use. They even went into my recent and not so recent history to verify with me that nothing had been authorized that I was unaware of. I have to set up a new account (with the same email if I wanted too. Yeah right!!!!). I guess this is just my warning to everyone. It happens to anybody! Im pretty sure I just had something verrrrry close to bordering a panic attack. I have to give KUDOS to Paypal though. They saved my sanity and a lot more.
