I am standing outside of Beauty Bar last night with one of my girlfriends when all of a sudden these obnoxious party bros one by one come trickling out of a Sapphire limo. We entered the vicinity to check out the Ringo Death Star show but the band had not started yet so we stepped outside and joined some friends for a cigarette break. Thats when we were approached by the party bros we had seen earlier. They approached us and forced conversation, but we were not interested so replied vaguely, but polite. It was clear we didnt want to talk or flirt, but they refused to take no for an answer. It got to the point where they were being disrespectful and intrusive. Seeing, that we werent going to budge, one of them said You know this bar? Well Im the OWNER now. And youre never allowed back in. We were 86d for no apparent reason, other than the fact that we, a group of girls in the middle of a conversation and had no interest. But.. the story doesnt even stop there. The new owners showed even more signs of chauvinism when we tried to go back in to see the show (thinking they were joking) but wouldnt allow us entry. They ended up letting one friend enter, on the condition that she give the owner a kiss on the cheek and another friend was still denied entry after getting her $20 bill thrown back at her. I have been going to Beauty Bar for over 10 years and I am extremely disappointed in the actions that took place last night by the people who have taken reign over the bar. I dont think I will be attending any time soon.
