I am tracking a complex of thunderstorms over central & eastern Oklahoma this morning that are dropping south with time. These storms are putting out an outflow boundary that could trigger some storms across our far eastern counties early this morning as it passes through. Interactive radar: bit.ly/171eJjn Then again this afternoon with the heating of the day, a few storms may pop across our southern counties, but overall, rain chances are low for today and most will stay dry. Rain chances get slightly better for Thursday and then again Friday as a disturbance passes just to our north. For now, the forecast models agree that the heaviest rain totals will stay north of Texoma and they do not paint a lot of rain across north Texas. We will not be able to escape the intense late-July heat anytime soon. Today, highs will climb just above 100 degrees, but afternoon heat indices will range from 104-110 between 2-7PM.
